4 out of 5 stars A Jedi Master.   October 8, 2002
I may be wrong, but I found Saesee Tiin one of the most difficult action figures to find. I looked in stores in three different states and never saw this figure once until this past weekend at a Wal-Mart. I got the only one in the whole store. I mention that only because of what some of the other reviewers wrote. True Saesee Tiin doesn't have force action, but I've found the little magnetic trick to be rather annoying; I enjoy using my imagination when I play and though it is cool the first few times you see it, it gets boring fast. This was a figure that Hasbro made to play with, not to be put upon a shelf. The character is more durable than many of the more popular figures in the series and takes a beating well. Overall, a fun action figure that doesn't include many extras and makes a better toy than model.

2 out of 5 stars What a let-down!   May 31, 2002

First thing - for the people who want the Jedi figures because of the neato metal lightsabers, this figure doesn't have one! Saesee's lightsaber's got a removable beam, but a crummy old painted plastic lightsaber hilt (that, as Dell said, Saesee Tiin can't even hold correctly).

Then I'll have to agree with Dell about the big flower/rock candy-looking "Force effect" thing. I don't think anyone would display their Saesee Tiin figure holding a big glass flower, and I'm sure kids would rather use their imagination to create the "Force effects" (which, to the figure's credit, must be easy thanks to the neat hand-sculpt of Saesee's left hand that looks like he's conjuring forth some cool magic).

Finally, for the straw that broke the camel's back, is Saesee's right leg. It's so crooked and mangled! It's misshapen to the point of being gross! Sure, it's underneath his little plastic skirt thing, but I think the leg's structure sorta throws off the balance of the figure, making it a little harder to stand him up than if his leg weren't so odd.

Chuck in a lousy paint-job (only the outside of his horns are painted and the skin-tone on his exposed chest doesn't match the plastic of his head at all) and you get a toy that surely wouldn't be as fun for kids as an Obi-Wan or Anakin, and an ugly figure that's a little too hideous for display. We expect better from you, Kenner.

5 out of 5 stars Jedi proves to be a fun collectible   May 5, 2002

My thrid Episode II toy purchase was Jedi Master Saesee Tiin. Having a great, action oriented pose he looks great in Geonosis dioramas and has a great sculpt and accessories. There are only a few problems with my figure and they are as follows:
- The fireball is a great effect for kids, but I really get annoyed with these new accessories because you can't see force blasts or pushes in the films so why would the figs have these crazy flaming energy swirls? Lost on me.
- His saber doesn't stay in his hands after the rubber bands have been taken off, but with some work it will stay. For kids, this is a downer because now a potential hero figure cannot properly hold their own weapon.
- Mine has chipped...I don't know if all suffer from this but mine is kind of wierd around the wrists.
Overall, a great, diverse, awesome Jedi figure for all collections and collector. I hope my review was helpful.
