Disappointed March 22, 2008 I bought this toy for my 4 year old son who enjoyed playing with it for a day. We made a mistake, as we thought we bought the one that lit up as well as made lightsaber sounds. This one doesn't, but for the same price! This is basically a plastic cone that does not "spring" out to form, nor does it retract back in place (the cone gets stuck every time.) This was a waste of money, my son has more fun with sticks in the yard.
Great toy November 25, 2005 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
It's a very nice and sturdy toy. But not even close to electronic toys for a number of reasons. Here they are...
1-They do not make cool noises and light up. 2- Now electronic lightsabers on amazon cost the same as these non electric ones. 3-They are much to small.
This toy is Great but i recommend you buying an eletric one...
Does anyone remember........ November 6, 2005 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Does anyone remember back in the days (when we were young or not so young) during the holiday season how after wrapping holiday presents, one would anxiously wait for the wrapping paper to finish so one can take the inner tube and play sword fights. Well no more, this wonderful sword is truly remarkable. Forget the silly folks who say it is childish. It is no different from dueling back in the days only obviously it is safer. It builds a sense of timing, rhythm, technique, confidence in ones' abilities and above all it is great role play. These durable, safe, fun swords are made of plastic and alot more durable than the paper tubes or anything you can think of. There are no lights, no sound, it is just plain fun and no need to worry about it malfunctioning or breaking easily. The first time i picked one up, I gave one to my three year old son and he dueled with dad. Needless, to say he won. Now he won't give it back to me. Pick one up, use your imagination. Use your voice as the sound effects of swords clashing and like in the star wars movie let your imagination take you far, far away.
THESE ARE AMAZING November 5, 2005 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Alright everybody my friends and I are 16 years old. We play varsity football and have plenty of friends. We still play with swords and these things are amazing. Who cares if people call you immature. First we used wooden swords until one snapped and my friend had to go to the emergency room to get the splinters out. We then mooved onto PVC pipe but they were way to dangerous and they broke after about 5 battles, plus they were way to heavy. These are GREAT. They are light and EXTREMELY durable. They are strong enough to deliver authority in a battle, but dont give bruses or broken knuckles when smashed into another one. They are the best for swordfighting. Plus they are inexpensive so you can buy several. They are great educational toys because they teach quick reflexis and eye-hand coordination. Dont let people tell you that you are immature because you like to sword fight. These are great and i prefer them to anything!!! BUY THEM YOUL BE HAPPY!!!
There are better light-sabers out there October 26, 2005 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
I was disappointed to discover that this light saber didn't light up, or make that characteristic "woosh" noise. This is one item that I should have bought at a brick and mortar store so I could actually read all the features (or lack thereof) on the packaging.
