Product Description
As the assault on the Rebel's secret base on Hoth comes to an end, R2-D2 is ready to take off in Luke Skywalker's X-wing fighter. As the two flee the ice planet, Luke informs R2-D2 that he is not planning to meet at the rendezvous point with the other Rebels. Instead, Luke is planning to go to the Dagobah system, a decision that makes R2-D2 a bit uneasy. R2-D2 figure measures 3.75".

2 out of 5 stars R2-D2's size tricked me!   December 21, 2008
Well the toy is nice, it is really very different from the first one around 1980, but when I bought this toy I thought it was quite bigger, and based on that, I'm rating this guy not that good, I was expecting a bigger toy as I said, and for the price I don't think it worth it. In the picture it really looks cool and big, but it is only like 2" big. So not happy because I will need to buy another one, and bigger so it can fit my star wars helmets collection.

5 out of 5 stars Best R2 ever   June 7, 2006

This version of R2-D2 is my favorite. It has two major differences to most other Astromech sculpts: It's middle leg is completely removable and when you spin it's head a little antenna pops up. Unfortunately, the droid's head cannot face forward and have the antenna completely up at the same time. But I don't use the antenna anyway. It also comes with a box, a lantern and a small case. And, like all of The Saga Collection figures, it includes a mini hologram.

I am the Star Wars Fanatic

This little astro-mech droid is cool man! This droid is very fun to play with. My friend said he also likes the toy! Buy this toy I am serious. Star wars 3.75 Basic Figure R2-D2 is very awesome. The paint job is great. I bought this with the Count Dooku Electronic Lightsaber. But, I should cut to the chase. The top of the figure is really shiny. And looks like the actual droid!

5 out of 5 stars I like R2's new look!   March 21, 2006

This R2 sculpt seems to be an improvement over previous iterations. The paint was done well and the molded-in details definitely seems to have been taken from the movies. The artificial "dirt" to age the figure seems to have been done better as well, as opposed to the ham-handed methods used before. I'm glad they eschewed the sometimes literal "bells and whistles" valued-added features and stuck with solid design methods.
