Product Description When the Rebels secret base on the ice planet of Hoth is discovered, the Empire launches a full ground assault. As Rebel transports take off in a desperate attempt to flee the Empires clutches, a few pilots are brave enough to attack the invading AT-AT Imperial walkers. Flying T-47 snowspeeders (2-person modified airspeeders), the Rebel pilots attack the walkers head-on with dual laser cannons, harpoons and tow cables.Zev Senesca (A.K.A Rogue 2), a Rebel who saved Luke Skywalker and Han Solo from freezing to death in the harsh Hoth climate, is the pilot of this particular snowspeeder. Zev is also one of a few daring pilots to fly his snowspeeder into battle against the AT-AT walkers.

Romantic fighter January 26, 2008 Star Wars rebel space-craft have always been sexy - probably because people love underdogs and the romantic notion of rebsl fighting against the iron fist of tyrrany. And the Rebel Snowspeeder is no exception.
As with its circa 80's version, the snowspeeder accurately captures the sleek angled lines of craft used in one of the Rebellion's darkest hours. She fits two figures, but only comes with Zev Senesca - the doomed pilot who is also credited with having found Captain Solo and the unconscious Luke Skywalker.
A co-pilot may be fitted into the rear gunner seat, but he has to be really thin to fit into the rear seat. Most rebel pilots recently released - Wedge, Porky, Darklighter etc.. won't fit in the pilot's seat as well as Zev and certain variants of the Luke Skywalker pilot figure, as their arms tend to be further apart than Zev's.
She doesn't do much else, cockpit opens, "Harpoon-gun" moves, the air-brakes pop-up manually and the front landing strut can be raised or lowered - but this strut will not lock into place when brought down(But it's held into place by the weight of the vehicle pressing down). When raised, the strut is held up by a small sliding lock. Rear struts are built in and do not move.
The plastic is a bit shoddy. I'm not really sure why they bothered with break away parts. If they did, they should have provided for a "battle damage" paint-scheme. Removing and replacing these parts may result in the locks breaking - in which case you may have to glue it in.
Still, it brings back great sentimental memories of the Empire Strikes back and the valiant sacrifice of so many pilots hurling their lives against unstoppable odds in an effort to save the lives of their fellow rebels.
