Well, maybe we do. Darth Vader is one of the most easily recognizable villains of all time. Tall, menacing, possessed of fearsome arcane powers, and ultimately depersonalized by his grotesque breath mask, unrelieved black attire, and sweeping black cloak, the name of Darth Vader has become almost as despised as the name of his real-life counterpart, Adolf Hitler. Darth Vader is invoked by persons of all ages, stations, and all walks of life as a personification of moral and ethical darkness. To describe anyone as "Darth Vader" is to instantly define them as serving the powers of Evil. To nickname a structure "the Darth Vader building" conjures up unbroken rows of deeply tinted black windows and a faint air of trepidation: "I wonder what they DO in there?"
Fortunately, for all his wickedness, Darth (being fictional) is also fun, the kind of movie monster we like to frighten ourselves with. Even people who are not STAR WARS fans routinely own any of hundreds of Darth Vader-related items such as radios, corkscrews, and watches. That being the case, everyone will be interested in this 3.75 inch Darth Vader action figure, one of dozens that have been released over the years. Darth comes with a removable breath mask (exposing his frightening face), his red lightsaber, and, with this figure, a plastic "terrain" display base and a Collector's Coin.
Darth is quite impressive in his usual regalia. He appears larger than the other 3.75 inch figures in your STAR WARS collection, both because of the ubiquitous black clothing and cape, and due as well to the stand. This is a must have for anyone who has ever secretly wished---even just once---that they could go over to the Dark Side and have Darth Vader's power, authority and certainty. That IS everyone.
