My child likes Star Wars so he likes this toy. The fact that R2 speaks is what makes it fun I think.

I gave this to my 5 year old daughter. My son got the clone wars version. She really enjoys the sounds and lights. The legs also articulate and have very functional rollers on the bottoms.

On the down side, the head doesn't spin, which I would prefer to the light up eye. On the other hand, I dont think my daughter has even noticed. Also the third foot doesn't come off or retract. This is pretty annoying as we cant load R2 into a Jedi star fighter. I hope it fits in an X-wing fighter (my not so secret b'day present).
