Product Description A scheming, cold and calculating Sith Lord, Emperor Palpatine rises to power and all but eliminates the Jedi Knights. His pupil, Darth Vader, communicates with his master via holographic image transmissions. Together, they strive to crush anyone who stands in the way of their new Galactic Empire.
Editorial Review Adults might be more likely than children to have an appreciation of the Emperor Palpatine character from the Star Wars series of movies. After all, adults have probably voted for a politician or two that proved later not to be entirely on the up and up. Palpatine, of course, takes that concept a tad bit further than most since rarely do traditional earthbound Republicans or Democrats seek to eliminate the entire class of Jedi warriors and subsequently rule the universe, cloaked in evil, with an iron fist. When Darth Vader is your advisor, that's corruption in its purest form. This purplish action figure of Palpatine in his Emperor status is purported to be holographic, and while we had a hard time really seeing that, the spooky hue sets him apart from other figures. He can be made to hold either an included staff or light saber. Just don't vote for him when he's up for re-election. --Charlie Williams

One color plastic waste of money January 22, 2008 This is such a silly idea. There is nothing holographic about this chunk of plastic with no paint and no details and no excitement. I literally laughed when we opened it.
For the collector. March 24, 2006 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
An unexciting piece. Of value only to the completist collector (like myself). There's nothing wrong with it, it's just that there's nothing "great" about it either. The lauching projectiles are unnecessary for a "holographic" figure. Hasbro could has done better by choosing another "host" sculpt to base this exclusive off of. The "Phantom Menace" version was much better!
Very disappointed December 27, 2005 5 out of 12 found this review helpful
This little figure is really a piece of junk. Poor detail and poor packaging. Next springs garage sale item for sure.
Good figure, poor packaging for shipping November 3, 2005 18 out of 21 found this review helpful
I received this along with another item, this item arrived nearly completely damaged as the figure was just put in the box along with the other item. The back of the card was nearly folded in half. Very bad packaging and poor shipping. The figure is a good figure but it arrived in such poor shape that it really didn't make it worth it for me to order this online when I was able to go to Toys R Us and get one in good shape the same night I got this from amazon. Very poor packaging, not secure at all.
Amazon ships damaged toys!!! November 3, 2005 29 out of 33 found this review helpful
I was so excited when I ordered my Star Wars Holographic Emperor figure. I'd been waiting for this exclusive figure be available for weeks!! When I got home today, the box with the Amazon logo was on my doorstep. Upon opening the box, I was completely disappointed to find that the Emperor figure I'd been waiting for was damaged since it was jammed into the box so that the backing card was crushed. The people packing this stuff are half-wits!! Anybody with a brain would know better than to cram something into a box like that!! They should be ashamed of their service & to all you collectors out there....BEWARE!!!
